Day 3 of the India Luxury Style Week spells Brilliance on the Ramp by Ace Designers

Day 3 the the India Luxury Style week 2017 brought together illustrious designers, Sumit Das Gupta, Nasir Khan, Abhishek Dutta & Aslam Khan among others, showcase the high on style yet innovative menswear line.

The evening started with royal Indian ensembles, gradually moving into more experimental designs inspired by the likes of a modern urban jungle and creating much drama and brilliance on the ramp.

SUMIT DAS GUPTA

Keeping in mind the rich Indian culture & heritage, designer Sumit Das Gupta popular for his work with Indian craft and textile, presented a collection titled the ‘Golden Heritage Of India’ i.e. khadi. He brought alive handcrafted traditional fabrics deeply rooted in history, like khadi, silk, pure malmal, jute, raw silk and Varanasi brocade — embellished with zardosi, Ari, chikankari, gota, kantha and resham threadwork, along with intrinsic hand painted designs, block paint and tie n dye, to create an attractive menswear line for the IFSW.

The designs were Indian Ethnic and every single outfit was a piece of art very smoothly woven with modern and royal lifestyle for men.

CANADA CLOTHING COMPANY

Sophistication with an authentic edge is the inspiration behind this collection, presented by Canada Clothing Company, a group of professionals – fashion designers, stylists, local Canadian artisans, management consultants and engineers who believe that one’s clothing is a true representation of a self-made, successful individual.

Timeless classic suits combined with modish leather accents, one-of-a-kind Canadian accessories, and contemporary chic prints and patterns, the collection is a statement of embracing individuality. Youthful yet refined, trendy yet classy…every design was distinct, refined and powerful. The color palette, transitioned from dark hues of burgundy and navy to softer shades of blue and white, and the pieces were a blend of Finest Australian merino wool, Irish linens, Egyptian cottons and highest quality wool-silk blends.

NASIR KHAN

For ILSW, designer Nasir Khan’s collection inspired by his travels was a mix of colorful, detailed craftsmanship on constructed silhouettes, assembled by Indian artisans. It is for a man who can be classic and have an equally engaging, nomadic, carefree attitude.. a traveler, interested in art & culture, meeting new people, sharing his experiences with the world.

The garments used camouflage with touches of Ikat in neutral hues, crafted mostly in light weight fabric with comfortable silhouettes perfect for a traveler & effortlessly fused sophisticated inspired European craftsmanship, minimal designs and understated glamour to create a new genre of bold and versatile range for a global citizen.

ABHISHEK DUTTA

The finale of Day 3 transformed the ramp into an Urban jungle, as designer Abhishek Dutta presented a line inspired by the fight to survival – the life in a modern jungle, where, the stronger prevails over all.  This Fall Winter Collection is inspired from this urban jungle and was depicted through various forms of silhouette and motifs inspired from the wild. Hand-woven linens, dobby, canvas and linen denim were the key fabrics.

Different textures layering and silhouettes were created by embroidery, appliques and digital print. Leather added an interesting element and designs included assymetrical bandhgala, bundhis, bomber jackets and kurtas. With this collection, Abhishek also introduced a new Range of footwear and bags made out of leather and linen
