Excerpt from the interview:

Q. In an era where TV content is dominated with content keeping young people in mind, what inspired you to start spiritual reality show?

PN: Spirituality has nothing to do with age, being young does not mean not being spiritual. I think the youth of India is spiritual but they need spirituality to be portrayed in their own cool way. That is what is concept of our show.

Q. Can you talk about the unique concept of your new show.

PN: It is a completely different concept. The show has new kind of music and our participants are singing new versions or sometimes completely new spiritual songs. Adding to this, our show has no elimination but we have elevation in our show.

Q. How did you manage to get personalities like Baba Ramdev, Sonakshi Sinha, Shekhar Ravjiani and Kanika Kapoor to come under one roof?

PN: The Maha Guru and the gurucools of the show were very much excited as soon as I narrated the concept to them as this show says the heart of new India. As we say ” Shradha Vahi Andaz Naya”.

Q. Do you think Baba Ramdev will do justice to the concept of reality show?

PN: Swami Ramdev ji is the person who reflects spirituality in a contemporary way. He has brought yoga and ayurvedic products to our homes and will now become the face of contemporary spiritual music.

Q. How Om Shanti Om gives birth to a new society being unbaised on the grounds of religion, it’s followers and freedom?

PN: Om Shanti om is not a religious but a spiritual reality show, its music gives you a flavor of all the religions and talks about oneness and one supreme power up there.

Q. Do you feel Om Shanti Om will bring bhajans back in vogue and produce some wonderful talent?

PN: Spiritual music always existed but we have not changed its flavor with the time to make it connect to the youth. We are taking an initiative in that direction. it will surely bring out good talent.
