Founded by the International Olympic Committee in 1993, The Olympic Museum is located in Lausanne-Ouchy, overlooking the beautiful Lake Geneva in Switzerland. The Interactive museum offers an insight into the Olympic movement, with permanent and temporary exhibitions which showcase the origin of the games, the competitions and the athletic spirit through over 150 screens and 1500 objects.
Among its exhibits, one can find the hockey stick of Dhyan Chand Singh from the 1936 Berlin Games, and the boxing gloves of Mary Kom among objects belonging to other world-renowned athletes like a jersey worn by Usain Bolt, and the sprinter Jesse Owen’s shoes.
