Sugar Factory has been known for its amazing parties where people have said they have enjoyed to the fullest. Located in the centre of the city, inside the iconic Le Meridian, The Sugar factory started off in 2014 and has just grown bigger and bigger.
Team Unkrate along with Burrp! was pleased to visit them on a Saturday, when they usually are running full. Getting into the groove, with the Dj playing his set, This is what they had to say about them “Sugar Factory offers popular and alternative culture, along with a variety of party music to boogie down to, spread across 4000 sq ft. The Sugar Factory has an absolutely crucial mission that our patrons must have FUN! No hang-ups! No attitudes! No tight whities! Just feel at home and dance your legs down to little stumps! Get boozed, let loose and shake what your mama gave you.”
We kicked off our evening with a couple of cocktails to get us into the mood. The first to come in was a hot favourite, but a cooler, made of gin and Cucumber which they called “Cool as the Cucumber ”. What we realised with this was, how the flavours of cucumber and Gin blended so well. I am definitely trying this bit at home.
Second in line was a Scotch based drink that hit the right nerves. Called the “Lady Lip”, the bite that it gave lasted for a long time.
Lastly, we had what the women want! A sinful Chocolate infused martini “Feel me in Sugar Factory”
Moving on to Main Course and Appetizers, we were served a large Tandoori platter for the vegetarians and Chicken Thai Skewers that made for the starters. The Veg Tandoori platter had spicy Achari Paneer Tikka, Cheese skewed Broccoli and Veg Seekh Kababs. We definitely recommend the Achari Paneer tikka and the Cheese Skewed Broccoli in this.
In Main Course, first came in the Vegetable Devil Sauce that completely took us by surprise. It was a pan-asian dish with loads of veggies and spices that was so full of flavours and with rice it was heaven. This definitely goes into our must haves here at The Sugar Factory.
We also had the Melenzana alla Parmigiano that had aubergine, parmesan cheese n layers along with a spicy sauce and baked. We did not really enjoy the taste though it looked really appealing.
In non-veg you must not miss the ‘Nalli ka salan’ one of the finest you could get in Bangalore and I didn’t expect this from a pub 😛 Grilled Lamb chops with spiced cilantro sauce was also really amazing.
The highlight of the evening apart from the Vegetable Devil Sauce was the dessert! We went home
absolutely happy with a huge smile on our faces. The dessert was, “Dark Chocolate Ganache withMandarin Fresh Strawberries tart and Strawberry Choux Pastry.
Till then keep exploring, keep partying and watch the space for more next week.
