True Blue debuted at High Street Phoenix this evening amongst popular celebrities, well known business personalities and his ardent fans who waited hours to get a glimpse of their inspiration and favorite Sachin Tendulkar.
Riteish Deshmukh, Bollywood actor and an ardent fan of Sachin Tendulkar who just couldn’t wait for True Blue to be launched, broke into the store a few days prior to the launch and grabbed a few of his most favorite outfits from the store! Seen at the grand opening of the fashion showcase hosted by the stunning Mandira Bedi, was none other than Riteish Deshmukh in a Bandhgala designed by Sachin Tendulkar. Popular models walked down the ramp proudly showcasing key pieces from True Blue, creating a space where Indian design and international style coexist on a global stage. The finale was brought alive by Sachin Tendulkar who effortlessly walked down the ramp wearing the signature Bandhgala as well from the True Blue collection. A huge cheer and excitement was felt at High Street Phoenix as their favorite icon waved and spoke about the launch.
One could easily discover vintage prints on the collar, bundis and blazers in classic celebratory tones with Indian heritage prints, polos with heritage motifs and other very interesting detailing. The fashion show embodied the spirit of the global Indian in every sense. The fashion show choreographed by Gaurav Raheja and Sheetal Sharma started with a beautiful shankh musical piece percussioned with western music elements to bring out the true essence of True Blue.
At the launch of True Blue, an ecstatic Sachin Tendulkar spoke “I’ve turned my most ambitious dream into reality today with True Blue.
