KOVID MITTAL
Designer Kovid Mittal started the show with his collection, ‘Demigods’ and showcased both a classic and experimental line, proposing to bring new diversity in men’s line. Portraying designs for a man who has a keen vision for the unseen and to look nothing but the best version of himself, Kovid used cotton and linen in a mix with hummus silks and wool, and a touch of Eri silk in scarves, lapels, complete the look.
Veteran Bollywood Actor Ranjeet graciously walked the ramp for Kovid Mittal.
MADHU SINGH
Madhu presented her collection Alamara, which merged old school style with a creative contemporary accent. She crafted suits, sherwanis and bandhgalas using fabrics like khadi, linen, pashmina & silk, bringing alive royalty on the ramp. Actors Abrar Zahoor & Rafi Malik walked the ramp for the designer looking splendid in the regal garments.
RIDDHI – SIDDHI
Designers Riddhi Siddhi, presented their collection called ‘ The Adventurous Dandy’. Representing the modern man who is open to experimenting and is adventurous with clothing and ways of life, they sister duo beautifully translated this ideology on the ramp by showing a myriad of colours and shapes across the collection. Their garments were structured with touch of futuristic elements and perfect for the contemporary man.
ASIF MERCHANT
Asif Merchant plunged into the fashion vanguard 25years back and has continued to rock the red carpet look with his ensembles flaunted by leading celebrities.
For the India Luxury Style Week, he presented a collection inspired by a man with a golden heart. Gold was the base of this collection which was divided into two looks. One a destructured, free flowing look crafted with cotton and mul which is ideal for day wear. And the other look was an evening wear ie raw silk jackets and tux in shades of black, grey and white enhanced with gold. Here, he has also experimented with cuts and styling, and with metallic gold embellishment, bugle beads and crystal.
ROHIT VERMA
Artistic contemporary designer Rohit Verma presented the grand finale of Day 2 at the ILSW with his gothic collection inspired by the power of a soul and titled ‘Graveyard’. Going all black, the garments were unique with exciting cuts & embellishments and done up in fabrics like velvet, lycra, jersey, denim, rugged fabrics and more.
It was also a fitting finale as actors; Abhimanyu Singh & Sharad Kelkar stopped the show for the designer, showing super oomph for a spectacular evening. #ILSW2017
