PewDiePie’s video “Can this video get 1 million dislikes?” stands at 4.8 million dislikes as compared to Sadak 2, which has received over 6 million dislikes
The backlash that star kids started facing due to the never-ending ‘Nepotism’ debate started by Kangana Ranaut on Koffee with Karan, has only aggravated after the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.
This became even more evident after the makers of Sadak 2 released the film’s official trailer on Wednesday. While the video is trending #1 on Youtube and has received over 18 million views since yesterday, in the process it has received a whopping 6.2 million dislikes against 337K likes at the time of publishing this report.
Directed by Mahesh Bhatt whose name has been linked Nepotistic.to Sushant’s alleged suicide case, the film stars her daughter Alia Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles.
Last month, Sushant’s brother-in-law, Vishal Kirti had developed ‘Nepometer’ in actor’s memory to fight nepotism in Bollywood with information.
“We will provide a rating for movies based on how nepotistic or independent movie crew is. If the #nepometer is high, then it’s time to #boycottbollywoodnepotism #fightnepotism,” read the tweet from Nepometer’s official twitter handle.
Nepometer had earlier rated Sadak 2 as 98% Nepotistic. “We rated it based on 5 categories – Producer, Lead Artists, Supporting Artists, Director & Writer. 4 out of 5 categories have Bollywood Family members. When #nepometer is high it’s time to #boycottbollywood. Will you watch this movie? Tell us in comments,” tweeted Nepometer.
Earlier this week, several news reports suggested that Sadak 2 star Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer. The same day after the reports surfaced, Sanjay Dutt had tweeted that he is taking a short break for work for some medical treatment.
However, the actor’s wife Maanayata Dutt has requested everyone to avoid spreading speculations and rumours while thanking all the well-wishers.
In her statement, she said, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass.”
She further added, “However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju’s fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead.”
“All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity,” concluded Maanyata.
